Open Auditions

Open auditions are scheduled for Jan. 10 and 17 at 7:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Kalamazoo (Map) Come sing with us!

Auditions for Singers

Auditions for singers consist of an interview with the Artistic Director, vocal exercises, and sight reading. If you have experience in singing early music, you may additionally prepare a short selection from the medieval chant repertoire.

Auditions generally take place on Tuesday nights immediately before EMM rehearsals. Prospective singers are strongly encouraged to stay and participate in rehearsal.

Section Leaders

Some section leader positions are available. The audition procedure is the same as for singers, above.

Instrumentalists

The instrumental needs of Early Music Michigan are wide-ranging. If you would like to collaborate with EMM, tell us what you do! Just send us an email detailing some of your interests and experience, and we'll contact you when we have a program in which you'd be a good fit.
